Its got a subtle taste of mustard and pepper with the loving sweetness of honey & a dash of lemon to tickle those taste buds.
INGREDIENTS
- 1/2 kg of Chicken Legs / Breasts (with or without skin)
- 2 tsp Freshly Ground Mustard
- 1/2 cup Honey
- 1/2 Lemon's Juice
- 1 tbsp Garlic Paste
- 1/2 tsp Paprika
- 1/2 tsp Red Pepper Flakes
- 1 tsp Freshly Ground Black Pepper
- 1/4 tsp Cayenne Pepper
- 1-2 tbsp Oil
- Salt as per taste
- Wash the chicken legs and score them nicely so that the marination sets in well. (Normally I prefer to leave the skin on the chicken as it gives more flavor but it's up to ones own personal taste).
- Take all the ingredients and whisk them together in a bowl,
- Now pour this marination over the chicken and coat it well.
- Now keep the chicken in the fridge and let it marinate for atleast 30 to 45 mins.
- If you want to use a coal barbecue grill you can fire that up or you can use a simple non stick pan to grill the chicken as I will be using today.
- Heat the pan and add the oil to it. Once the oil is hot drop the chicken legs on it slowly and first let it cook on a high flame for 5 mins on each side then reduce the flame n let it cook slowly for 15 to 20 mins turning it occasionally.
- Once the chicken is cooked and has a charry texture to it take it off the pan and serve hot. Add more lemon juice for taste if required.
