CHICKEN HARYALI TIKKA

This is an all time favorite barbeque chicken recipe. My friends and family have both loved this recipe for its simple preparation, fresh ingredients and yet brilliant taste.
It is very easy to make with hardly 6 core ingredients and the result is lip smacking.
So now the next time you plan to fire up a barbeque I would definitely suggest you try out this recipe.

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 kg chicken legs
  • 2 handfuls of fresh coriander leaves.
  • 1 handful of fresh mint leaves. (pudina)
  • 10 cloves garlic
  • 2 tsp fresh ground black pepper
  • 1 full lemon's juice
  • 1 tsp fennel seeds
  • Salt as per taste

STEPS

  • Wash and score the chicken legs.
  • Put all the ingredients (except the chicken :p) into a blender.
  • Blend them into a fine paste. Add 1/4 cup water to help it blend into a fine paste.
  • Now pour this paste over the chicken and coat it well.
  • Let it marinate for 3 to 4 hours.
  • Once marination is complete, fire up a coal barbeque and once it is hot cook the chicken on it for 20 to 30 mins depending on the heat level.
  • Incase you don't have a coal barbeque you can use a normal electric tandoor or a non stick pan for the cooking purpose. Just remember to add oil to the pan and tandoor to avoid it from sticking to the hot surface.
