DRAGON CHICKEN
As the name suggests, this is one spicy recipe. This stir fried spicy delicacy packs a lot of flavor and is a must try for appetizers.
INGREDIENTS
MARINATION
- 1/2 kg boneless chicken strips
- 1 tsp Dark Soy sauce
- 2 tsp Dry Red chilli paste
- 1 Egg
- 1/2 cup All purpose Flour / Maida
- 1/4 cup Corn Flour
- 1 tbsp Ginger - Garlic paste
SAUCE
- 3 Dry Red Chillies
- 3 tbsp Cashew nuts (broken into small pieces)
- 1 large Onion (sliced thinly)
- 1 Capsicum (sliced)
- 1 tbsp Ginger - Garlic paste
- 1 tsp Dry red chilli paste
- 1 tsp Dark Soy sauce
- 2 tbsp tomato ketchup
- Sugar 1 tsp
- Salt to taste
- Oil
- Spring Onions and coriander leaves (Garnish)
STEPS
- Add chicken to marination ingredients and after 20 mins deep dry the chicken till its golden and then set aside.
- In a pan add oil and once it is hot add the dry red chillies and cashews and saute for 2 mins.
- Add the onions and capsicum and continue to stir fry on a medium heat till onions turn pink.
- Add ginger-garlic paste to the pan and saute for 2 mins.
- Add the red chilli paste, soy sauce, ketchup, salt and sugar and cook till the sauce thickens.
- Now drop in the fried chicken and coat it well in the sauce.
- Stir fry on high heat for 2 mins and then garnish with fresh spring onions and coriander leaves.
- Serve hot.
