DRAGON CHICKEN

As the name suggests, this is one spicy recipe. This stir fried spicy delicacy packs a lot of flavor and is a must try for appetizers.

INGREDIENTS

MARINATION




  • 1/2 kg boneless chicken strips
  • 1 tsp Dark Soy sauce
  • 2 tsp Dry Red chilli paste
  • 1 Egg
  • 1/2 cup All purpose Flour / Maida
  • 1/4 cup Corn Flour
  • 1 tbsp Ginger - Garlic paste

SAUCE

  • 3 Dry Red Chillies
  • 3 tbsp Cashew nuts (broken into small pieces)
  • 1 large Onion (sliced thinly)
  • 1 Capsicum (sliced)
  • 1 tbsp Ginger - Garlic paste
  • 1 tsp Dry red chilli paste
  • 1 tsp Dark Soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp tomato ketchup
  • Sugar 1 tsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil
  • Spring Onions and coriander leaves (Garnish)

STEPS

  1. Add chicken to marination ingredients and after 20 mins deep dry the chicken till its golden and then set aside.
  2. In a pan add oil and once it is hot add the dry red chillies and cashews and saute for 2 mins.
  3. Add the onions and capsicum and continue to stir fry on a medium heat till onions turn pink.
  4. Add ginger-garlic paste to the pan and saute for 2 mins.
  5. Add the red chilli paste, soy sauce, ketchup, salt and sugar and cook till the sauce thickens.
  6. Now drop in the fried chicken and coat it well in the sauce.
  7. Stir fry on high heat for 2 mins and then garnish with fresh spring onions and coriander leaves. 
  8. Serve hot.
