Honey Soy Prawns
Ingredients:
- 1/2 kg king sized prawns
- 3 tsp honey
- 1 tbsp Soy sauce
- 1 tsp freshly ground black pepper
- 1 tsp freshly ground sesame seeds
- 1/2 tsp red chilly powder
- 1 tsp white vinegar
- 3/4 tsp salt (adjust as per flavor)
- 1 tsp butter
- Freshly chopped coriander leaves
Steps:
- Mix all the ingredients (except the coriander leaves) in a bowl and add the prawns to this mix.
- Toss the prawns well in this mix till it is well coated in the marination.
- Refrigerate for around half and hour so that the marination sticks to the prawns.
- In a non-stick skillet / pan, add some butter and once the butter melts and the pans' hot drop in the prawns along with all the marination.
- Cook it on a high flame for about 10 mins maximum stirring occasionally. Take out one piece of prawn and cut it from its thickest portion to check if the prawns have cooked all way through, if they haven't then cook them for another 3- 5 mins. (We have to be very careful with the timing while cooking the prawns as they tend to easily overcook and as a result become dry and rubbery to eat)
- Empty out the dish on a plate and garnish with freshly chopped coriander leaves.
- Serve hot to enjoy sweet and succulent prawns.
