BEER ONION RINGS
Our all time favorite snacks, THE ONION RINGSssss is here!! :D
If you have never had these before, then trust me, you haven't lived. You must rush to your kitchen right now, make it and savor this divine dish.
The beautiful flavor of onion having a yummy crunchy coating outside is just scrumptious. Crisp on the outside and soft and tender on the inside, this dish is a must try for appetizers.
INGREDIENTS
- 3 large onions cut in rings and its layers separated.
- 2 tbsp cornflour
- 2 tbsp maida / all purpose flour
- 1 tbsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp paprika
- 1 tsp ground pepper
- 1 tsp ground mustard
- Beer / Soda
- Salt as per taste
STEPS
- Cut onions in rings and after removing all layers separately so that they form rings, soak them in water for 5 mins and then take them out and dry them with a kitchen napkin or towel.
- Mix cornflour, maida and baking powder in a bowl.
- Add salt, pepper, mustard and paprika to this bowl.
- Pour in some beer / soda and whisk well to get a thick consistency (Don't make it too runny)
- Dip onion rings in this mix and coat well.
- Heat oil in a kadhai and deep fry till it gets a golden color to it and is crispy.
- Serve hot.
